The JobLink can connect you to resources and information that can help you find, train, and retrain qualified employees. Please visit our Businesses section for more information 2. Do I need an appointment at JobLink? No, you don't need an appointment at the JobLink. There are many services that you can access just by walking in the door. However, some staff do travel between multiple JobLinks during the course of the week, so you may need to schedule an appointment with that particular staff member. 3. Does the JobLink help youth? Yes! There are Get REAL (Resources Employment Advancement Learning) staff in the JobLink Centers that work only with youth ages 16-21. Check out the Get REAL section of the website for more information. 4. What is JobLink? JobLink is a coming together of multiple organizations - all with similar purposes and goals - to provide services to the job-seeking public and to businesses in a seamless, easy, and integrated way. 5. What is a JobLink swipe card? The JobLink swipe card allows you to visit any JobLink Center in North Carolina and have a staff person be able to pull up all of your information on past visits, so there's no giving all of your contact information over and over again. The swipe card also records what services you receive each time you enter the Center. 6. What kind of services can I receive at the JobLink? You can expect to receive free computer access, career guidance, resume preparation, help with your job search, information on the job market, training classes and workshops, information on training and education, access to resources for training, unemployment insurance claims, and veteran's services. 7. What type of training does the JobLink offer? All JobLinks offer information about training in your area and can get you on the right track to participating in that training. Some JobLink Centers offer classes - such as keyboarding, resume preparation, dressing for success - in the JobLink so that they are convenient for you to attend.
